LST Radiators for Care Homes
Case Study
Project : Castle View Nursing Home
Client : March Consulting
Autron have supplied over 180 Low Surface Temperature radiators to Castle View Nursing Home on the Isle of Man. Set in an elevated position on the edge of Peel, with views over peel harbour and the Irish sea, this private Nursing home provides long term care for 50 residents with Alzheimer's/Dementia, Old Age, and Physical Disability. The radiators were specified by March Consulting and installed by Industrial and Domestic Plumbing and Heating who selected Autron radiators for the ease of installation, attractive design and low grille temperature.
“The radiators complement the modern, attractive design which provides a high quality of life for the residents”, a spokesperon for the Care Home told us.
Autron supply low surface temperature for the protection of the elderly and infirm in care homes. The economy models are a cost effective way of protecting residents and fulfilling the requirements of the homes inspector whilst other models are available to offer a designer feel to the environment. All models offer more protection than open mesh or wooden guards.
A range of energy efficient emitters are available for conventional and lower temperature heating sources such as air or ground source heat pumps and can be added to a circuit which supplies underfloor heating.
Ranges suitable for use in this market sector

The Autron “Economy” LST radiator is a cost effective heating solution for environments that require consideration of safety and care. All models comprise a panel radiator heat emitter and a low surface temperature one piece casing.

The Autron “Slenderline” LST radiator range is the slimmest LST currently available in the UK, suitable for applications where unobtrusive heating is required with a choice of emitters designed for conventional or condensing boiler applications.
